My job is really cool sometimes.
A couple of weeks ago, a Hawaiian monk seal named Rocky gave birth to a pup at Kaimana Beach in Waikiki. The two have been taking up residence in the area ever since, and honestly, how can you not go ‘aww’ at the sight of mother and pup?
Legally, the public isn’t allowed to go near the Hawaiian monk seals, so the beach was sectioned off for the duration of their stay. But that hasn’t stopped beachgoers from taking an interest in the two.
Honestly. Can you blame them?
